Cuervo y Sobrinos Churchill Sir Winston

Churchill’s Cuba Connection

Cuervo y Sobrinos taps into history with a limited edition that nods to Sir Winston Churchill’s fondness for Cuba.

This watch isn’t just about timekeeping. It’s a 43mm stainless steel and titanium piece that carries a bit of history on its back, literally. The caseback features a quote from Churchill himself, while the lateral nameplate reminds you it’s one of only 282 pieces. Water resistance is set at 100 meters, and there’s an AR-coated sapphire crystal up front.

Inside, you’ve got the Swiss automatic Sellita caliber SW 240-1. It ticks away at 28,800 vph with a 38-hour power reserve. The movement is dressed up with a Côtes de Genève rotor and the Cuervo y Sobrinos emblem. Functions are straightforward: hours, minutes, central seconds, date, and day.

The dial is where things get interesting. Burgundy Clou de Paris guilloché sets the stage for gold-colored indices and red accents. Gilded hands keep time with a red-tipped seconds hand for contrast. It comes on both a stainless steel bracelet and an alligator leather strap.

Limited to 282 pieces, this one’s for those who appreciate a touch of historical flair in their collection. You’ll know if it’s for you.
